This week, we go back to the 90s and play some fighting games in arcades…again! We talked about part one of the show a bit ago, and now that the second part’s dub dropped on Netflix, it’s time to chat about it. We talk about the episodes leading up to the end, some of our favorite parts, and going home to be a family man.

Hey, so I finally played Steins;Gate! Jared and I talk about time travel, the difference in Elite, the endings, the story as a whole, and how player manipulation leads to a super rad true ending.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I talk about one of our most anticipated releases of the year, DOOM Eternal. We compared it to DOOM (2016), discuss the gameplay, how the game is insanely lore heavy, our overall thoughts, and why I had to quit ripping and tearing.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I both get to chat about some games we’ve been playing. First, Jared picked up Animal Crossing: New Horizons, so he chats about his adventures on Bütt Island. After that, I break down the rest of the Trails in the Sky series, we talk about what The 3rd actually is, and discuss how Sky sets up some important events in the series going forward.
Leave a CommentSports have been cancelled this year, so Jared and I are filling the March Madness gap with Aqours Madness! We go through 64 songs from Love Live! Sunshine!!, make some choices, give opinions, and get into the rare Jared and AL argument to determine once and for all which is the top tier Aqours song!
If you want to fill out the bracket too, it can be found here.
Leave a CommentSo, E3 got cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Jared and I decided to discuss the potential impact of the virus on the video game industry at large. After that, we discovered that there is a King of the Hill video game!! Who knew?? We talk about what that game is like, the gameplay, and we learn how long King of the Hill actually lasted.
1 CommentThis week, Jared and I played through the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo, and we give our impressions on the demo, the characters, and the combat. After that, I recently watched and read Erased, so we talk about how that series is really great, what the differences are, and I give you a breakdown of the story.
Leave a CommentJared and AL talking about Love Live!? It’s more likely than you think. (AKA nobody is surprised) First, I went to a delayed screening of Love Live! Fest this week, and so I chat about my experience with that and how I definitely cried. After that, we talk a bit about the global version of Love Live! School Idol Festival All Stars. Some of it is confusing, so Jared explains it way better than the game does. We also talk about the new Nijigasaki gals and how their story plays out in the game, and how we both have a surprising character that we love now because of this game.
Leave a CommentWhile there was hope that Catherine: Full Body could fix the narrative issues from the original, it does the exact opposite. Catherine (either version), in essence, is a game where you play as a character who is -phobic and misogynistic, surrounding himself with others who mostly think like him. Vincent is sleazy, but we are encouraged to support his quest since he is the “hero” of the game. However, Vincent rarely learns that his behavior is abhorrent—the only time he has repercussions for his actions are in the “bad” endings of the game, and even then, there is no indication that Vincent would change anything about his behaviors.

Leave a CommentThis week, AL rages a lot. First, I walk us through Ichigo Takano’s (Orange) Dreamin’ Sun. I discuss the story, what I liked, and what I felt was unforgivable. We then played The Division 2 (thanks Tom Clancy) because it was heckin’ cheap. I was pretty hype to check out some of the museums, and so we talk about what was right, what was completely inaccurate, how it’s an interesting idea to incorporate museums like this, and what museum got the ultimate insult.
