In our first episode of the year, Jared and I are back to talk about otome!! I played through Cupid Parasite, and so I talk about all the routes and guys, the issues with translation, and ultimately why this game didn’t click with me.

We’re finally back with otome!! This week, I get to talk about Olympia Soirée, which exists in a world with a rigid color caste system. We chat about Japanese mythology, which dudes I liked, and how this game is the sauciest otome that I’ve played (that doesn’t suck).
Heed the content warnings at the beginning!
Leave a CommentThis week, we’re going back to the world of otome! We’re chatting about Café Enchanté, an otome where you run a coffee shop for a coffee loving demon king, a fallen angel who loves otome, a very hungry fire wolf, and a headless knight who likes to garden. Oh, and a regular 42 year old dude. We talk about the routes, nut, who I liked the best, and why I felt like the game ended on a really bad note.
Leave a CommentThis week, we have two very different things, but two that solidly appeal to my interests. First, Jared and I talk about the experimental Legend of Zelda games for the Satellaview, including one that is not only a direct sequel to A Link to the Past but is also a Zelda isekai. Second, I talk about the latest otome release, Piofiore: Fated Memories, which has us dating pretty mafia dudes in Italy during 1925…and one big twist that no one could ever see coming.
Leave a CommentIt’s the return of the grab bag! This week, Jared and I get to chat about some games we’ve played lately. First, Jared starts off by talking about Greek Mythology and the roguelike Hades. He then discusses whether he actually likes Super Mario Bros. 35. Finally, we chat about my playthrough of an indie otome game, Joestar Struck, which allows you to date and yell about capitalism with some Joestars from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Join us next week for our episode #200!!
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I talk about some games that both have romance in them! And some controversy! Our unintended theme this week. First up, Jared replayed Mass Effect 2 and 3. He gives his thoughts on the games and how they held up, as well as how the warning signs for Mass Effect may have come sooner than people initially thought. After that, I talk about the first fandisc for Collar X Malice, Collar X Malice -Unlimited-. We talk about why it’s controversial, which routes were my favorites, and why it is a little uncomfortable to play at the moment.
Leave a CommentThis week, we cover quite a few things. First, Jared and I talk about that weird Ubisoft stream, then Jared talks about watching Lovely Complex. After that, I talk about a non-mainstream otome, Love Letter from Thief X, and man, these dudes need to calm down with their thirst.
Leave a CommentThere was a lot of hype surrounding this game when it came out a few weeks ago, and Jared and I finally got around to trying it. After two hours playing the game, Jared and I were entirely unimpressed. We break down the story, the issues, and why we feel the way we do about this very odd dating simulator commercial.
Leave a CommentThe Queen of Otome returns!! This week, Jared and I dive into a new otome game I’ve been playing–Mr. Love: Queen’s Choice. (What a champion of a name) I break down the story as best as I can, tell you all about the four guys you can date, talk about all the different features the game has, and I look at some of the future releases for the game and come away completely and utterly bewildered.
Leave a CommentIf you’re new to the podcast or have missed the many times we’ve discussed the wildness of the series on it in the past, you may not know how much we love this bonkers otome series. Now we’ve seen the release of the final fan disc of Code: Realize, and so Jared and I are here to tell you about how it all wraps up in ~Wintertide Miracles~. We get to celebrate Christmas on Valentine’s Day as we see the boys spend their first Christmases with Cardia, Sholmés pulling some weird sexist shit, Finis being a sass machine, a brand new route, and the implementation of triangle dates.
