This week, Jared and I played through the Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo, and we give our impressions on the demo, the characters, and the combat. After that, I recently watched and read Erased, so we talk about how that series is really great, what the differences are, and I give you a breakdown of the story.

Jared and AL talking about Love Live!? It’s more likely than you think. (AKA nobody is surprised) First, I went to a delayed screening of Love Live! Fest this week, and so I chat about my experience with that and how I definitely cried. After that, we talk a bit about the global version of Love Live! School Idol Festival All Stars. Some of it is confusing, so Jared explains it way better than the game does. We also talk about the new Nijigasaki gals and how their story plays out in the game, and how we both have a surprising character that we love now because of this game.
Leave a CommentThis week, AL rages a lot. First, I walk us through Ichigo Takano’s (Orange) Dreamin’ Sun. I discuss the story, what I liked, and what I felt was unforgivable. We then played The Division 2 (thanks Tom Clancy) because it was heckin’ cheap. I was pretty hype to check out some of the museums, and so we talk about what was right, what was completely inaccurate, how it’s an interesting idea to incorporate museums like this, and what museum got the ultimate insult.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared takes one for the team and played the Persona 5 Scramble demo, and he gives his takes on Omega Force’s latest in crossovers. Next, I break down the first game in The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky series to scratch my Trails itch, and I get to see Olivier in his full traveling musician glory. Finally, Jared and I discuss Stranger Things 3: The Game to chat about licensed video games and whether this one is any good.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I decided to go with something completely different! As huge Aqours fans, we decided to build our own version of a Live setlist for them. We limited ourselves to a format that was consistent with a Live style, and we built what we have deemed the “Cool Live”, including outfits and Day 1/Day 2 differences. You can listen to a Spotify setlist here (although it is incomplete due to Spotify not having everything, but I tried!)
Leave a CommentThis week, we decided to chat a bit about video game accessories. We talk about the ones we had as kids, why we think there have been less super strange accessories lately, and we talk a bit about some of the more bizarre video game accessories and their uses.
Leave a CommentWe have previously talked about I Want to Eat Your Pancreas on the SAC OVA, so this time we watched the anime film to see how it compares to the manga and the light novel. We discuss how this version of it might be the best way to introduce yourself to the story, talk about the dub cast, and how I almost died laughing too hard at one particular scene, which is not expected for a story as sad as this one. Spoilers, of course!
Leave a CommentWe had a really busy December, and so now Jared and I decided to do a grab bag and discuss things that we have watched, played, or read in the last month or so. This is a random assortment–from manga, Kdramas, anime, and Pokemon. It ticks all the boxes of our tagline and more!
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I are discussing some other games we wrapped up in December 2019 with The Outerworlds and Life is Strange 2: Episode 5. We talk about the methods we used to get through The Outworlds and the story about taking down capitalism. Second, we talk about the last chapter of Life is Strange 2, and how the wolf brothers’ story wraps up.
Leave a CommentWhat better way to start a new year than by talking about my game of the year from 2019!?! So this week, Jared and I discuss the story of the game, which moments stood out, the changes that were made, how Rean has taken up the thankless profession of teaching, and where we think ToCS 4 and beyond might go.
