This week, we’re back to finally close out the Crossbell arc and talk about The Legend of Heroes; Trails from to Azure! We talk about how the game goes hard from start to finish, our “new” members of the SSS, some of our favorite moments, why the context makes some points from other games hit harder, and how we’re super jazzed to get back to Crossbell later this year with Trails into Reverie.
This week, Jared and I are back with some more Resident Evil 4! The remake came out recently, and so we’re here to talk about what’s new, what’s different, and whether these changes made an old time fan and a more recent first time RE4 (original version!) player both happy.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I chat about Nijiyon, the short-form anime based off of Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. We talk about how the short episodes are able to show off some great character interactions and how these girls are as a group, as well as why I got misty-eyed on a couple of the episodes.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I finally chat about Persona 4, a game that means a lot to both of us. Somehow, we’ve not done a proper episode for this yet, so we talk about some of characterizations and how we feel coming back to the game with modern eyes (even after having put a disgusting amount of hours into other versions).
Leave a CommentOur annual March tradition is back, and this time, we’ve put characters from Kotaro Uchikoshi games into the bracket to see who comes out on top as the best. We talk in depth about the characters, have some debates, and ultimately come to a consensus to crown the winner of our March Madness.
Listen here! If you want to fill out your own bracket, that’s here!
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I got to chat about the rerelease of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, the prequel to Final Fantasy VII. We talk about the gameplay of the new version, how I cry every time in this game because of the story, and what we hope might carry over into the Final Fantasy VII remake games.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I discuss saying goodbye to Love Live! School Idol Festival, a mobile game that we’ve both played for years. We talk about our feelings about the shut down, what comes next, and the difficulties of mobile game preservation.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I got to experience the finally localized Like a Dragon: Ishin!, a Yakuza story set in 19th century Japan. We talk about the fantastic localization, how much history they’re able to weave in to the story, singing about fighting sakura for the 15th time, and how this compares to mainline Yakuza/LAD games.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I talk about the reboot of Saints Row, and we see how Jared felt about the series being rebooted after the wacky shenanigans of Saints Row IV, the story, why it’s stupid to name a game the same thing as previous games, the rocky launch, and what’s in the future for Saints Row.
