This week, we go fast in an open world! I played Sonic Frontiers recently, so Jared and I talk about the wild music, the story, what it does right and wrong, and how (of course) I love the fishing.

This week, Mario gets a gun again for the follow up to Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. Jared and I were very surprised by and liked Kingdom Battle, so we were turbo hyped for Mario + Rabbits: Sparks of Hope. We talk about gameplay changes, how amazing the accessibility options are, and how the characters and story compare to the last game.

This week, Jared and I played through the Resident Evil 7: biohazard, the game that decided to change perspectives probably specifically so I couldn’t play it. We talk about the main story, how we felt coming away from that and the Dollar Store Chris DLC, and then we talk about punching and how it was a redeemer for the game.

This week, Jared and I chat about one of the biggest games of the year, Elden Ring. Jared played through it, so he tells us about the adventures of Goober (and the gloriousness of character creation), how it gave him Breath of the Wild vibes, and where George R. R. Martin comes into play.

This week, Jared and I finally get to talk about the first game in the Crossbell arc of the Trails series, Trails from Zero! This is its first official English release, and we talk about how it differs from other Trails games, how the characters from Sky arc are incorporated, what we love about the characters, and what mysteries are left on the table for the next game. Also, Randy Orlando is the best, bruh.

It’s the end of spooky month, and to round it out, Jared and I watched Netflix’s Resident Evil. We talk about unlimited breadsticks, the few good moments of the show, and what went horribly wrong with this adaptation of Resident Evil.
