This week, Jared and I chat about one of the biggest games of the year, Elden Ring. Jared played through it, so he tells us about the adventures of Goober (and the gloriousness of character creation), how it gave him Breath of the Wild vibes, and where George R. R. Martin comes into play.

This week, Jared and I finally get to talk about the first game in the Crossbell arc of the Trails series, Trails from Zero! This is its first official English release, and we talk about how it differs from other Trails games, how the characters from Sky arc are incorporated, what we love about the characters, and what mysteries are left on the table for the next game. Also, Randy Orlando is the best, bruh.
Leave a CommentIt’s the end of spooky month, and to round it out, Jared and I watched Netflix’s Resident Evil. We talk about unlimited breadsticks, the few good moments of the show, and what went horribly wrong with this adaptation of Resident Evil.
Leave a CommentThis week, we get a little spooky! First, we chat a bit about the Silent Hill and Resident Evil presentations from this week. After that, we talk about our time with The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes, which uses the 2003 invasion of Iraq as its setting. We discuss what happened in our playthrough, how one friendship ended up being our favorite part of the game, and why we decided halfway through that one character was going to survive no matter what.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I are returning to 1920s Italy to talk about a sequel to an otome game that I loved. We talk about the stories for the route, why this game was a disappointment to me, and see where it ranks on my list of otome compared to the first game.
Leave a CommentThis week, we talk about the Persona 5 sequel, Persona 5 Strikers! We chat about why I call it “musou-ish”, how it’s basically more of the same if you’re into Persona 5, and whether there will be more spin-offs after this.
Leave a CommentThis week, I am confused. First, we talk about the surprise announcement for Love Live! School Idol Festival 2. After that, I talk about my time with Return to Monkey Island, and how maybe the friends we made along the way are the important part of the story. Who knows?
Leave a CommentThis week is our 300th episode, and so as usual, we decided to do something a little bit different for the milestone. We watched some pro wrestling, Jared got to hear my fantastic wrestling commentary, and I saw some familiar faces from either the Yakuza series or through cultural osmosis beat the crap out of each other.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I talk about all the announcements made by Nintendo and Sony during their Direct and State of Play respectively that aired on the same day!
Leave a CommentThis week, we talk about Live a Live, the Square JRPG that finally made its way outside of Japan this year. We discuss the short story-style narrative, how each story approached the JRPG style, and why I was super frustrated with the game by the end.
