Normally when I get into otome, I fall in hard. But what happens if you fall in so hard that you reincarnate as a character in the game? That’s what happens in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! Jared and I discuss the first season, some of our theories and where we think it could go in the second season, and we share which route we think Catarina might finally end up on. Also yay Shouta Aoi!!

What do you get when you mix FMV and Kazutaka Kodaka? Death Come True! This is one of Kodaka’s first adventures post-Danganronpa, and Jared and I chat about the story of the game and how rad the entire experience was. This episode is full of spoilers, so it’s probably best to play through it first before you listen…or don’t if you just want to know what we think.
Leave a CommentThis week, we first take a look at EA Play 2020 to see what EA has on the horizon, including a surprise but very odd announcement. We also played through Resident Evil 0 again, and discuss the mechanics, how Rebecca deserves better, and we come up with our own Resident Evil game idea.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I chat about that Playstation 5 event. We talk about the games that they showed, the design, and made some price predictions. After that, I briefly chat about Shantae and the Seven Sirens and lament the lack of auto-save in a game like this in 2020.
Leave a CommentThis week, I finally got Jared to play Xenoblade Chronicles! It did not go as well as I had hoped. You’ll hear me squee a lot over how much I love this game and the Definitive Edition, Jared talks about all the stuff he didn’t like, and we both talk about how much we liked the new epilogue, Future Connected.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I have a conversation about what video games and anime serve as comfort food for us when we’re feeling sad or having a bad week/stressed. We’ve discussed a lot of these games and anime before in individual episodes, but we discuss why they work for us as comforting pieces of media. Also, https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/
Leave a CommentThis week, we talk about the follow-up to Steins;Gate–Steins;Gate 0! Jared played it a few years ago, and I am just now catching up. We talk about the interesting things it does with the characters, how it works as a sequel, and some of the ways the anime adapted the story.

These are some of the nicer words you’d find on the internet that refer to Squall Leonhart, the protagonist of Final Fantasy VIII. Meanwhile, I personally find Squall to be one of the most complex and interesting protagonists in a Final Fantasy game. 1 So what is it about Squall that is so fascinating decades after the release of Final Fantasy VIII?
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I decided to match up which Final Fantasy games we had both played and rank them. We get into some heated discussions with some controversial opinions in order to decide the best Final Fantasy (that we’ve played).
Leave a CommentThis week, we go to the past a little bit! First, we start the episode with some video game history trivia, and me being me, I overthink everything but still do pretty well! After that, I chat about the Trials of Mana remake, including teenagers dressing badly, question some weird romance, and wonder why Elmer Fudd joined an RPG cast.
