This week, Jared and I are back in the world of otome. I break down the plot of Charade Maniacs, try and talk about all the datables (but there are too many and I forgot things!), discuss what they did right and what they got very wrong, and overall lament my time with the game.

This week, Jared and I talk about a unique otome game that combines theater kids, romance, and rhythm game mechanics into one–Jack Jeanne. We talk about the overarching story, the different routes, and why I think this is one of the best otome games I’ve played in a while.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I go to the CIRCUS! We talk about Radiant Tale, a game where you join a circus, date a dragon, and learn the ultimate solution to negative emotions.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I get to chat about an otome game where you date dudes made of objects, one route has you dodging syphilis, and somehow this game landed a T rating despite the wild amounts of violence and sexual content. Neat!
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I reach an important moment in the world of otome. We chat about Birushana: Rising Flower of Genpei, and I talk about the many reasons why this game just didn’t hit for me.
Leave a CommentSince Valentine’s Day was this week, Jared and I decided to talk about Lover Pretend, an otome game where you fall in love with dudes as you work on a movie set trying to find out who your dad is. Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I talk about Bustafellows, a game I started in 2021, but I wasn’t able to finish for a few reasons. This time, I completed it, and so we chat about the dudes, found family, the wild ass story, and how it became a top tier otome game on my list.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I chat about an otome game I played last year, and we discuss how they fumbled what could have been a cool plot device, why some of the datables were insufferable, why eight dudes is too many dudes, and whether or not the big finale actually mattered at all.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I are returning to 1920s Italy to talk about a sequel to an otome game that I loved. We talk about the stories for the route, why this game was a disappointment to me, and see where it ranks on my list of otome compared to the first game.
Leave a CommentValentine’s Day is coming, and love is in the air! That means it’s time for another otome episode! This week, we chat about Dairoku: Agents of Sakuratani, where you play as a new agent who helps out supernatural beings…and dates them. (And her boss) I talk about the routes, how much I enjoyed the side characters, and how the whole time I just kept wanting to get to the Semi route to see what would make him finally open his eyes.
