This week, Jared and I are talking about how I probably wrote an anime flick and didn’t realize it since this film has so many things I like in it. We watched Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, which is super cute and has two teenagers overcoming their insecurities together through the power of haiku and vinyl records.

We talk about all 4 episodes (that should’ve been a movie), the plot and which parts are nonsensical, and how it lives up to other CG Resident Evil films.

We talk about the actual musou parts of the movie, the story parts of the film that drag on way too long (even if there are some funny moments), and what we would have done differently if we were making the Dynasty Warriors film. This week, we’re going to talk about cooperating, chaos, and materia! First, Jared and I played the cooperative game Operation: Tango, where we got to be an agent and a hacker and work together to save the world. Next, we got to finally play through that Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin demo, so we break down what we liked and didn’t like, plus how the mechanics worked and how bad I am at it. Lastly, I played through the Yuffie DLC with Final Fantasy Intergrade, and so we talk about the story and what it means for the larger picture of Final Fantasy 7 Remake‘s story.
