This week, we’re gonna get a little casual and throw on our Hawaiian shirts with Kiryu in Yakuza 3. This is also the first one of the series that Jared has not experienced its entirety. We chat about the changes to the remastered version, the story, and the mighty power of the Dad Squat.

This week, we’re getting a little bizarre again. We’re back in the JoJo universe with the live action adaptation of Thus Spoke Rohan Kishibe. We chat about all three episodes, how they make this feel unique from other adaptations of this material and JJBA Part 4 generally, and ultimately what we think about the mini series.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I chat about the PlayStation Vita, an amazing system despite Sony’s complete and utter lack of support. We chat about the history of it, why it died, what we liked, how some games got a second life on the Vita, and which games were our favorites.
Leave a CommentJared and I are solving mysteries this week! First, we chat about Sony shutting down the PS3, PSP, and Vita digital store servers later this year and what that means for game preservation. After that, we talk about Root Film, the fun story, our theories when we were playing, and how we think it is compared to the spiritual predecessor Root Letter.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I played a home version of an arcade version of a rhythm game with a hell of a title, as well as a cooperative game where our characters are getting a divorce. The Love Live! games leaves a lot to be desired despite some neat features, and we chat about what the problems with it are. Finally, we played It Takes Two, which has some fantastic moments and gameplay, but the story of it leaves a lot to be desired. I did get to fight a squirrel who tried to Hadouken me though.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I get to talk about a sleeper hit from last year, Vanillaware’s 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Since we’d be here for days if we went beat by beat on the story, we chat about the general overview of the story, our favorite moments and characters, and we read through Jared’s notes he took to try and keep everything straight in his head.
Leave a CommentWe’re back with our annual March Madness episode! This year, we’re choosing the best song from Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. There are some surprises, some coin flips, and ultimately we choose the best of the best from the group and solo songs from the Nijigasaki gals.

Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I finally did it. We played through the Final Fantasy VII Remake. After hearing about the game for over a year, we finally got the opportunity to play it. We talk about what surprised us, what didn’t work, how adorable Aerith is, and Jared offers the rare correction on the podcast.
Leave a CommentThis week, Jared and I get to jump back into the world of Yakuza! But first, we chat about Sony’s State of Play. After that, we get to talk about my experience with Yakuza Kiwami 2, including how it connects to Yakuza 0, how it made me sad, catch up with Kiryu & the Tojo Clan, and some absolutely bananas story beats.
Leave a CommentThis week, we’ve got three very different things to talk about. First, Nintendo had their first Direct since 2019, and we discuss the announcements, what we’re excited about, and what we disagree on. After that, we counter a video released this week that ranked the Love Live! girls with our own completely accurate and objective ranking. Finally, we continue the AL Experiences Yakuza series as we talk about Yakuza Kiwami, the remake of the first Yakuza game. We chat about why the game hits harder after playing Yakuza 0, how to quit your job in under a couple of hours, and how inferiority complexes can get a lot of people killed.
